MEMBERS of the Church Langley Primary Academy community were left both angered and heartbroken after thieves broke into a large sports container and stole hundreds of pounds worth of sporting equipment.

The site manager made the discovery on Monday morning and was appalled by what he saw.

A large container had been broken into, sports equipment had been vandalsed and strewn about.

The school astro turf was littered with debris and rubbish.

The crime has been reported to the police.

The problem of criminal behaviour seems to be increasing in Church Langley and civic leaders may need to meet and take some form of organised action.

An appeal has now got out to replace the equipment.
