CELEBRATING its Silver Birthday the Three Valleys Male Voice Choir, from Waltham Abbey, is going from strength to strength. Since its formation in 1994 they have performed over 500 Private and Public Concerts, throughout the country and abroad.
A number have been with other choirs and in the autumn of each year, as part of their outreach programme, they spend a long weekend away, usually in a seaside location, where they are greeted with much enthusiasm, with their unique harmonious sound.
They are holding a special Anniversary Concert at Hoddesdon Parish Church on the afternoon of Sunday 23rd June, at 2.30pm. The choir, along with their regular professional soloists Alicia Dine and Roland Gallery, will be singing a wide variety of songs to suit all tastes.
After the Concert the audience will be treated to a High Tea, served with a host of sandwiches and cakes and lashings of tea, served to them by the choristers.
Tickets are £10.00, and to be sure of a seat you are advised to purchase them from the church before the day, by phoning 01992 462127. Late-comers can obtain them at the door.
Their CD – Songs of the Valleys – will be on sale at the concert at the bargain price of £5.00. A unique souvenir for yourself, a loved one or friend!
Virginia Firnberg, their talented musical director who has been with them for nearly 5 years, said, ‘It is a privilege to manage this bunch of enthusiastic men, who really enjoy their singing to the public and to the elderly and disabled, in their care-homes.’
