Love is all around at celebration for Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

ON SUNDAY afternoon, parents and children who had been through the Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow, gathered together at the Paringdon Club in Harlow.

There was such a special atmosphere at the event. The room glowed with love as well as appreciation for everything the unit had done.

The event was sponsored by LandSheriffs of Harlow.

We spoke to the organiser of the event, Katie Barke and the manager of the NICU, Janelle Gardner.

We also spoke to Lauren Howick, who had been through the NICU and were able to explain to us what the experience was like.

Wonderful group of people at NICU in PAH. Just as a grand father I am
so impressed that they ensured our little 1llb 14oz baby girl is with us know.

Almost fours later and getting ready for ‘big girls school’ in September.

Also James and Lauren for the massive effort to ensure their little baby was safe. The pressure that was put upon them both was massive. They as well as Ruby have done so well and long may the four year journey continue for many, many years to come X
