Emergency services descended on Purford Green area

Statement from Essex Police

Three teenagers have been arrested following a robbery in Harlow.

We were called shortly before 3pm this afternoon, Sunday 21 July, with reports that an 18-year-old man had been robbed of his mobile phone whilst on Purford Green.

It was reported that four teenage boys approached the victim, threatened to stab him and demanded his possessions. No knife was reported to have been seen.

Officers arrived and arrested three teenage boys on suspicion of robbery.

Enquires are ongoing.

A NUMBER of emergency services have swarmed on the Tumbler Road area of Harlow this afternoon.

A number of vehicles attended in the Purford Green area close to Manor Hatch shops at just after 3pm (Sunday).

An ambulance also attended as there was a male at the scene with a considerable amount of blood on his left arm.

Police vehicles with their blue lights on appeared to be searching the Tillwicks Road and Southern Way area.
