Thieves attempt to break into Passmores Academy using golf clubs

ESSEX Police are investigating an attempted break-in to Passmores Academy where the wannabe thieves smashed several windows with golf clubs.
The incident happened around 1245am on Tuesday morning at the school site on Tracyes Road in Harlow.
An Essex Police spokesperson said: “We were called at around 1pm yesterday, Tuesday 30 July, with reports that a window had been smashed at Passmores Academy, in Tracyes Road, Harlow.
We attended the scene and reviewed CCTV, which showed suspects breaking windows with golf clubs.
“We don’t believe anything has been taken.
“Anyone with information is asked to call Harlow police station on 101 quoting crime reference 42/121339/19 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
YH understands that two suspects climbed on bins to get through windows, then attempted to smash through a set of double doors with a golf club, before tripping the alarm.
