Open Auditions for Harlow Playhouse Pantomime
HARLOW Playhouse are delighted to be holding an ‘open-audition’ for this year’s professional pantomime ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’.
This will be the first time in 5 years that The Playhouse have offered the opportunity to young people (aged between 8 and 16 yrs) to come along and audition to be a part of this year’s festive spectacular.
The team behind the pantomime are looking for two teams of children who will perform alongside the professional performers at The Harlow Playhouse over the Christmas Period.
The open-audition will be led by professional Choreographer, Claire Cassidy, who has recently been part of the creative team of the UK & Ireland Tour of ‘Matilda – the Musical’. Claire, who returns for her 7th year to choreograph the pantomime said ‘We are very excited to be opening the Playhouse doors to young theatrical talent this year. Working with West End performers and a live professional band, this is the perfect opportunity for young adults who have a passion to perform. I am very much looking forward to seeing all the talented youngsters in September!’
Rory Davies, Artistic Director of Harlow Playhouse said, ‘We are very excited about the open auditions. The audition will be fun and informal, allowing all young people to enjoy the experience of the audition and dance on the Harlow Playhouse stage!’
The Open Auditions will take place on Sunday 8th September 2019 on the Harlow Playhouse Stage. 3.00pm – 4.00pm (ages 8 – 11) 4.00pm – 5.00pm (ages 12 – 16). No experience is necessary, just the willing to learn and have lots of fun!
