THE Harvey Centre is excited to announce that Harlow based inclusive performing arts group ‘Razed Roof’ will be running FREE puppet making workshops in the centre on Thursday 31st October.

The workshops will take place between 10am and 3pm on the first floor of The Harvey Centre near the downward escalator.
The very creative Jane Martin will run the ‘making’ activity and the Razed Roof team will be joined by two professional / experienced puppeteers, Sue Dacre and Roger Lade, from the Little Angel Theatre, Islington, who will skilfully demonstrate how to use marionettes.

The workshops are open to everyone in the community who would like to join in and learn how to make simple hand-puppets and have fun using them. Any children must be accompanied by an adult.

The event is run with thanks to Razed Roof’s funders, the Essex Community Foundation.

Bryan Young, Centre Manager at The Harvey Centre said, “Razed Roof’s puppet workshops are sure to be a great hit with anyone with a bit of a creative side. Giving participants the chance to create their own character from scratch and bring them to life with the pros – what’s not to like!”
