Are Harlow schools still poorer due to government cuts?

Education: Secondary / Fri 15th Nov 2019 at 04:40pm

A WEBSITE, backed by a number of education unions, has detailed how much less money Harlow schools have compared to 2015.

A spokesperson for schoolscut.org.uk said: “After relentless campaigning by parents, heads and school staff, the Government has promised to give schools £1.9bn more next year.

But this falls well short of the money that schools need to fully reverse the cuts they’ve suffered since 2015.

“This crisis won’t be over until a Government funding announcement passes our six tests:

Reverse school cuts suffered since 2015
Guarantee new money from the Treasury
Fund all ages and all needs, including SEND
Provide for a five-year funding plan
Address historic underfunding
“Fully implement and fund pay rises.”

All the candidates in the general election will be asked a number of questions regarding education.

Here is a list of the Harlow schools.

Many readers will remember the Tories, just before the last election, denying that funds for school pupils would be cut. But children, parents and teachers see through these lies on a daily basis. Classes of 35, one text book between four students, dilapidated buildings and a lack of support for pupils with additional educational needs are stark reminders of what happens when the Tories are left in charge of public services. Our children deserve better than Liar Boris and the Tory's austerity cuts for the poorest while rewarding the very richest and corporations with massive tax cuts.

Really Ingall, Our local school, Churchgate Junior, operates 7 days a week from, 6ish am up to 22.00. We have vehicles delivering some "free food", paid for by the government,at all hours of the day and night. Breakfast clubs, after hours sports events, adult clubs, dance classes etc, etc. The car park is full of very smart modern vehicles, and most of the street too. with the over spill. So, obviously the teachers are very well paid. The so called shortfall is made up by the lettings that go on, easily covering the alleged sum of £40.00 per week. I do believe that most of the other schools in Harlow, also have these money making schemes in operation. Whose bending the truth here ? Same OLD Labour, blame the Tories.

Might Churchgate still appreciate the restoration of the £37000 cut?

£ 37 k, peanuts. Corbynski has vowed, that if he and his Reds get into power he will tax the private schools system by £1.6 billion. Thus costing £10 k for every pupil forced back into the state school system.
