ESSEX Firefighters rescued a horse after it accidentally fell into a swimming pool this morning in North Weald.

The horse had wandered off in the garden and fell through a swimming pool cover.

Crews used a ’skid’ to help lift the horse back out of the pool by 12:14pm.

The horse has avoided serious injury but was left in the care of a vet as a precaution.
