Review of Prezzo’s Christmas Menu
Epping Branch-December 13th
BEFORE we start describing the quality of the food may we pay a compliment to the staff at Prezzo Epping. All the staff were very attentive. From the very beginning, as customers came in on a cold evening, they wanted to make sure that they were given a warm table and that includes us, who were given a table by the heater.
The warm restaurant also has a Christmas feel without being obtrusive.
The Christmas menu at Prezzo is an option and even then, it seems like a very natural menu. There are obvious Christmas meals as well as traditional Prezzo options.
To prove the point one of us had Calamari and the other had Mozzarella in Breadcrumbs with Cranberry Sauce. The cranberry sauce was a lovely touch which went really well with the Mozzarella.
There were lots of Christmas options in main menu. We chose the Christmas Cracker Calzone. This was a brave move as it was Calzone stuffed with Turkey, butternut squash and cranberry. In the wrong hands it could have been too dry but this was perfect compromise. It felt Christmassy and it was very tasty. It was also very large, so you really are getting a feast.
We also went for King Prawn and Salmon Risotto, which seemed very appropriate in a Christmas menu. It was light but still very filling.
As we said before, the staff were very attentive and professional. The restaurant was filling up and had a great buzz on Epping High Street on a Friday night.
