WE had some wonderful responses from the public to our 2019 exhibitions; The Open Open, ‘Sculptural Citizens: Henry Moore’s Harlow Family Group’ which charted the history and local significance of one of our best loved Harlow sculptures, and Camille Yvert’s (Sculpture Town Artist in Residence) ‘How I Naturally Improved’ (open until 11th January 2020).
Other highlights included local schools getting involved in the Adopt A Sculpture scheme which inspired some beautiful artwork, and creating their own sculptures alongside artists as part of the Masterpieces In Schools programme (with Art UK). Harlow’s Big Draw in October saw a record number of visitors taking part in a workshops at the Gibberd Gallery and a Sculpture Trail.
We’ve enjoyed a variety of positive exposure and reviews on all of the above, as well as the unveiling of Harlow Sculpture Town’s 100th sculpture ‘TwoFold’ by Nick Hornby. Click below for a small selection of articles.
