Harlow Playhouse: Teechers are on the timetable
Entertainment / Fri 3rd Jan 2020 at 09:02am
THE critically acclaimed production of ‘Teechers’ by Thompson Promotions returns from a five year hiatus and has come to The Harlow Playhouse!
‘Teechers’ is the classic classroom comedy written by John Godber, whose other works include ‘Bouncers’, ‘Shakers’ and other plays as well as writing numerous episodes of ‘Brookside’.
‘Teechers’ revolves around three school leavers, Salty, Hobby and Gail, who perform to an audience a comedic account of their time in secondary school, specifically their time with Jeff Nixon, the new drama teacher who ignites their passion for the stage with his idealism and belief that all children should be treated equally.
Cast in the roles are Ben Parsley (as Salty), Kirstie Brough (as Gail) and Amy Jaggers (as Hobby) – Harlow regulars will recognise Ben and Kirstie from their recent performances in ‘Two’, ‘Spine’ and ‘Bottleneck’, all in Theatre 2 over the last couple of years.
