Police investigate after teenage boy stabbed in Harlow

POLICE are investigating an incident where a teenage boy was stabbed in broad daylight.

An Essex Police spokesperson said: “We received a report on Thursday 23 January that a boy had been attacked at around 4pm in The Downs, Harlow.

We received information that a group of teenagers was approached by a boy known to them, who then attacked one of them.

A 16-year-old then suffered stab wounds to his arm, thigh and leg. He was taken to hospital for his injuries, which were not life-threatening or changing.

A 16-year-old from Harlow was later arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon and assault causing grievous bodily harm. He has been released on bail until 17 February.
