PATIENTS, visitors and people to have opportunity to enjoy fresh fruit and vegetables from stall outside hospital

The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust will be introducing a fresh fruit and vegetable stall at the front of the hospital from 10 February.

This will give patients, visitors and people an opportunity to buy a variety of produce while they are at the hospital.

The idea has been introduced by two junior doctors, Emma Astaire and Pearl Ampah, following a survey of the snack choices patients make on their ward.

Emma said: “Eating a healthy, balanced diet is an important part of maintaining good health, and can help you feel your best.

“The stall will offer a delicious and vibrant array of fruit and vegetables, with seasonal choices available too.”

You will be able to pick up your favourite healthy options outside the hospital’s main entrance, Monday–Friday, from 8am-5pm.
