THE success of Harlow’s spring clean campaign has been recognised at a national awards ceremony.
The campaign was shortlisted for the Great British Spring Clean award at the Keep Britain Tidy annual network awards held on 6 February 2020 in Birmingham. This award recognises councils which helped promote, engage and deliver Keep Britain Tidy’s Great British Spring Clean.
The council’s campaign, which ran from 22 March 2019 to 23 April 2019, involved around 1,900 residents who helped collect around 400 bags of litter from the streets and parks of Harlow.
On the night Harlow’s campaign didn’t win 1st place, but the town can be very proud of being a finalist in a national awards.
Now the challenge is on to make this year’s spring clean in Harlow the best ever so they can go back to the awards next year!
