Heart 4 Harlow: serving the community in Holy Week
AS we begin this journey through Holy Week, Heart 4 Harlow has brought together a series of uplifting daily talks from across the town and our villages, that whilst stand alone, will also culminate is an online evening celebration on Easter Sunday evening at 6:30pm.
The first talk will be delivered by Revd Sarah Swift, the relatively new vicar at St Mary’s, Churchgate Street, with some familiar and not so familiar faces appearing as the week progresses. This Holy Week project has been coordinated by Revd Darren McIndoe, who himself only came to Harlow last October.
“Revd Darren said ‘I hope that these talks and services bring some joy and light into homes around Harlow. It is wonderful to see how friends from further afield also choose to watch. One of the hidden positives of this current crisis is how it is bringing together the community of the Church and reminding us all that we do not have to be alone.”
The Holy Week talks, which will take the form of reflections or meditations, will premiere at 10.15am each day on the Heart4Harlow Facebook page www.facebook.com/Heart4Harlow/ and the Easter Sunday celebration at 6:30pm. They will also be shared via social media by St Stephen’s Church – Twitter and Facebook @ststephenharlow and other churches in and around Harlow.
God has a heart to bless the whole community of Harlow. In and through everything we do, Heart 4 Harlow seeks to express through words and deeds the love of God shown to the whole of Harlow in Jesus Christ.
Heart 4 Harlow has a number of mailing lists that people can join via our website https://www.heart4harlow.org.uk/contact/mail-lists/ and we welcome new followers and friends on Twitter and Facebook @heart4harlow.
