PAH announce another sixteen deaths due to Covid-19

Statement on behalf of The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust:
Lance McCarthy, chief executive, for The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust, said:
“We can confirm that sadly, 16 patients, aged between 51 and 91, all except one of whom had underlying conditions, have passed away at The Princess Alexandra Hospital. They had tested positive for COVID-19.
“Our thoughts and condolences remain with the patients’ families and loved ones at this difficult time.”
According to NHS England, the following number of deaths have occurred on the following days:
On Sat April 4th: 4 deaths
On Friday April 3rd: 1 death
On Thurs April 2nd: 4 deaths
On Wed April 1st: 2 deaths.
On March 31st: 2 deaths
On Mon March 30th: 9 deaths
On March 29th: 3 deaths
On Sat March 28th: 3 deaths
On March 27th: 5 deaths
On Thurs March 26th: 3 deaths
On March 25th: 3 deaths
On Mon March 23rd: 2 deaths
On March 22nd: 3 deaths
On March 21st: 4 deaths
On Fri March 20th: 1 death
On Wed March 18th: 1 death
To let readers know, we have asked PAH (on Wed April 1st) if we could have a figure of those patients who have been admitted with coronavirus and survived. In an ideal world, it would be great to get a weekly figure. Naturally, that decision lies with them but we thought we would let you know we are trying to get a figure.
Please also note that according to the NHS England data, “data is likely to change”.
