THE 2nd Great Parndon Scout Group in Harlow have just hosted a “Virtual Camp”.

The virtual camp took place from Saturday 11th April to Sunday 12th April. They started the camp with a video call with all the Beavers, Cubs & Scouts. Like all camps they started with flag break within the video call.

They then got set different tasks and challenges throughout the day from things like making a flag pole, a scavenger hunt around the house and then spelling out their section (as shown in some of the photos).

Part of the challenge was to either make a den inside the house or to camp out in the garden. The night spent in their den or tent would then count towards a nights away badge. They also had to make fires whether this was real or made up of anything they could find around the house for a virtual camp fire sing along via a video call.

They finished off the camp on Sunday morning with a video call Easter egg hunt and they then had their last challenge to make a scout sign to put in their windows.

The leaders worked hard coming up with the ideas and keeping in contact with all the Beavers, Cubs and Scouts.
