Objection to planning application in Great Leylands

News / Sat 16th May 2020 at 09:29am

A PLANNING application has been submitted for a property in Great Leylands, Harlow.

The application is as follows:

Demolition of existing outbuilding, and erection of a two-storey side, and single-storey front extension.

There has been an objection. The objection states:

“Parking would be an issue as this is already a 5 bed house with the loft conversion. Drainage has been a problem in the past with flooding in the back alley.

The reason 11 Gt Leylands was built the way it was, is to allow the houses in Purford Green to have their sunlight/daylight and privacy. This would be taken away it this proposal was to go ahead.

“The environmental issue is that he has already taken down as many trees as he can and this always happens on a weekend. It would be out of character and appearance of the surrounding area as this house is large enough for a family”.
