Business / Thu 18th Jun 2020 at 08:45am

GREGGS has released the full list of exactly which branches will be reopening on Thursday.

The only one in Harlow on the list is Edinburgh Way, close to Tesco.

The remaining branches are set to open in “early July”, the company confirmed in a statement to shareholders.

“We intend to re-open around 800 shops to takeaway customers on Thursday 18 June,” Greggs said.

“All team members are being trained in the range of operational changes and protective measures that we have implemented across our retail estate.”

Changes in store include:

Floor markings and signage to help customers maintain social distancing
Protective screens at our counters
Availability of protective workwear for our teams
Additional, more frequent, cleaning measures
Availability of hand sanitiser
Encouragement of contactless card payment

Gregg’s chief executive Roger Whiteside said: “Looking forward, although great uncertainty remains, we are excited to be resuming our service for many customers this week.

“We are confident of our ability to adapt to market conditions in the short term while continuing to invest in the long-term growth of our business. I want to thank all of our 25,000 colleagues for their support in getting us to this point.”
