A NUMBER of men were arrested by armed police in Harlow on Tuesday morning.

An Essex Police spokesperson said: “We were called with reports that a man had been threatened with a gun in Cawley Hatch (The Pinnacles), Harlow at around 9.40am on Tuesday July 7th.

Officers attended and two men were arrested in Great Plumtree (off Howard Way).

A 25-year old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearms and assault.

A 45-year old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearms.

Both are due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates Court today, Wednesday 8 July.
