LEE WOOD is a young man who has recently taken up running. He is loving it and was putting in some impressive times (sub-18 for 5k).

However during lockdown he picked up an injury.

Lee got in contact with SV Sports Therapy, who are based out of Latton Park, the home of Harlow Rugby Club.

He was really impressed with the treatment he received.

Lee said: “Not only has Sophie successfully led me through a rehabilitation programme seamlessly (currently still on a plan), but she has also guided me through the mental aspects of not being able to run for such a long period of time.

It has been a difficult time during lockdown because whilst friends and other athletes around me have been utilising their spare time to increase their mileage and improve their running, I’ve been pretty much stuck on the sidelines throughout its entirety, and some days that would have a big effect on me mentally.

“So for Sophie to be able to treat me for the past eight weeks without any contact physiotherapy, devise a rehabilitation programme and help coach me through the mental side of not being able to do what I love at a time like this, and come out of the other side with a 5km PB highlights what an incredible physiotherapist she really is!”

YH went down to SV Therapy’s clinic to interview the owner, Sophie Vowden and ask her how they treated clients during lockdown and how they are treating them now.
