Queens Head pub in Old Harlow “hopes to be back in due course”

THESE are uncertain times for pubs and restaurants around the town.
Included on that list is The Queen’s Head pub in Churchgate Street.
A very popular pub, it has been shut since early July.
A sign at the pub issued on July 11th detailed why they were closed but did stress that “we look forward to welcoming you all back in due course”.

The sign states that the food takeaway service is available for Fridays and Sundays. We tried to check their Facebook page for further information on this but that seems to have been taken down.
I passed by yesterday (Aug 14 2022) and it looks like renovations are in progress, so somthing is afoot. Hopes are high here that the pub will be making a very welcome return. Fingers well and truly crossed, the Queens Head has been sorely missed this last couple of years, a great traditional pub - the best in Harlow.
So pleased it’s open again, such a lovely pub and a great atmosphere and food was always top notch.
