HARLOW Running Club had 18 runners at the Lee Valley 10k race at Waltham Cross on Sunday morning. Martin Westley was first home in 15th place out of 402 finishers in an excellent 36min 28sec. He was followed home by Tom Wheatley, in his debut at the distance, in 61st place in 40.36, Lee Webber 69th in 41.54, Jack Shury 71st in 41.55, Terri Wiley 87th in 43.49, Jon Waight 92nd in 43.49, Laura Prime 159th in 49.29, Kelly Burgess 164th in 49.47(PB), Tracie Cook 250th in 55.56, Sandra Westgate 262nd in 56.32(PB), Louise Peacock 295th in 1.00.06, Ronald Peacock 269th in 1.00.10, Kevin Smith 302nd in 1.00.40, Davina Smith 303rd in 1.00.42(PB), Teresa Stickland 313th in 1.01.19, John Edwards 353rd in 1.06.19(Debut), Helen Barnes-Martin 356th in 1.07.15 and Julie Bull 388th in 1.14.19.

Meanwhile at the Lee Valley 5k Leanne Bennett finished in 11th place out of 45 finishers in a superb 21.17 and Pas Blackwell was 13th in 21.26.

At the Outlaw Half Ironman Triathlon (1.2m Swim, 56m Bike, 13.1m Run) at Nottingham Nick D’Alton finished in 451st place out of 1200 finishers in a commendable 5hrs 20min 46sec.

At the Hever Castle Super Sprint Triathlon (400m swim, 20k bike, 4k run) in Kent Andy Kitson finished in 8th place out of 133 finishers in 1.09.37, Paul Schroder was 32nd in 1.18.41(PB), Ben Usher 49th in 1.24.04, Gail Nichols 65th and 1st Female Vet 50 in 1.28.20, Wendy Schroder 82nd and 2nd Female Vet 50 in 1.32.01 and Jason Pite 95th in 1.37.55.

At the Dorney Lake Sprint Triathlon (750m swim, 20k bike, 5k run) near Windor and Eton Vicky Steadman, in her triathlon debut, finished in 63rd place out of 221 finishers in a superb 1.31.21.
