News / Sun 15th Nov 2020 at 06:23pm

FIRE crews returned to the scene of a fire, three days after it was put out.

Akhter House on Perry Road in Harlow was extensively damaged after a devastating fire took hold on Tuesday night.

After a long battle, the fire was put out by Thursday morning.

However, residents noticed that the fire service had returned to the scene on Sunday morning.

An Essex Fire Service spokesperson said: “We carried out a planned revisit at 10am oil Sunday morning and noticed that the fire was beginning to re-ignite.

“We then requested the assistance of our aerial ladder platform from Chelmsford to assist in dampening down the area for a few hours again”.
