HARLOW Council bosses have expressed their concerns over increases in the Covid-19 infection rate in Harlow
The council has a dedicated Recovery and Resilience Group that meets over Zoom once a month.
Senior officer, Andrew Bramidge reported on a range of statistics but he was clearly concerned in the increase in Harlow.
A couple of weeks ago, there was a definite feeling that the rate was levelling off at below 90 cases per 100,000.
Many will hope that we have yet to see the effect of lockdown, that is to say, infection rates may fall.
Many will also wonder what tier, Essex (and therefore Harlow) will be placed in post this latest lockdown.
Mr Bramidge noted that there had only been one “mass” case in Harlow at Brakes factory but others will note that a large number of schools seem to be affected by individual infections.
Harlow is ranked 251 out of the 315 local authorities in England.
The highest rate is Kingston upon Hull with 760 out of 100,000.
The lowest rate is Tendring with 55.9 out of 100,000
