Harlow Leader welcomes investment in town

HARLOW Labour Council Leader Mark Ingall hailed some great news for Harlow. “On Friday I found out that we have successfully bid for £3.56m to progress development at Harlow Science Park”.

Harlow Council have had two applications for funding approved from the government’s ‘Getting Building Fund’ following a formal vote by South East Local Enterprise Partnership Accountability Board on Friday 20 November 2020. £1.6m has been approved to complete the fit-out of the Nexus building and £1.96m has been agreed towards the total costs of the Modus development, both at our Science Park development.

Councillor Ingall praised Council staff who prepared the bids. “Thanks to the work of council staff we have recently submitted three multi million pound bids for government funding as part of a wider programme to transform our town. This is the first successful bid and will help accelerate development at Harlow Science Park which will play an important part in the town’s economic recovery by providing new jobs and new opportunities for all.”
