Owner of Harlow Tattoo studio angry over bid to put burger van in front of shop window

A HARLOW businesswoman and local residents are up in arms over a bid to put a burger van slap bang in front of a new shop in Harlow.

A public notice has gone up on a lamp-post in Burgoyne Hatch (near The Purple Emperor) informing residents that Harlow Council has received an application “for the grant of Licence for Street Trading for the sale of retail of
Hot Food: Burgers, Chips, Hot dogs, Kebabs, Breakfast.
Monday to Sunday 0700 hrs to 2200 hrs
Any person wishing to object is asked to e mail [email protected]

If it is successful it may be placed in front of Bianca’a Tattoos.
Bianca’s Tattoos was only opened up earlier this year.
Owner Bianca Seagrave said: “I’m not happy for a number of reasons. This van would be right in of our shop window.
“I depend on passing trade, Life has been difficult enough without this.
“I am also concerned about the smell of food wafting into the studio.
“I also had no knowledge of this application as it is stuck on a lamp-post whilst my shop is shut due to the second lockdown.
“Harlow Council should be there to help not hinder”
Many customers and concerned residents have pledged to e-mail Harlow Council and object to the application.
