WE ARE always keen to hear from people and how they are trying to help St Clare Hospice in these difficult times.
One such person is May Simpson.
May said: “Over the past few years I have held events during the Christmas period for St Clare Hospice, at a pub called the Queen Victoria in Theydon Bois ( I am assistant manager).
Last year, we managed to raise over £1000 in Theydon Bois so although the current pandemic means I can’t hold the event, I didn’t want to be defeated and not do anything at all.
I am now using my small nail business (@TheNailphileUK on Instagram) to try and make a big old raffle to raise lots of money!
I have spent the past two weeks contacting lots of local business’ in order to create one HUGE online raffle and now have over 40 local and small business’ who have been so generous to donate over £1000 worth of prizes so we can hopefully raise lots of money for a great cause!
I have also created a FB page to run the prizes and events from, a just giving page to raise the money and have local celeb Fanny Galore to help reveal some of the winners of the raffle on FB live!

The page has gone live from the 26th/27th when we started to invite friends and family as well as post on instagram.
