Give the gift of support this Christmas to your local hospital

THE Princess Alexandra Hospitals’ Charity have started a Christmas fundraising appeal to support their patients during the festive season.

Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust (PAHT) are no longer able to accept physical gifts and are encouraging local people to donate to the Christmas fundraising appeal.

Mari-Louise White, head of fundraising at PAHT, said: “This Christmas will be a very different time for all of us and we know that many of you will want to help now, more than ever.

“For our patients, who will spend the Christmas period being cared for by our compassionate and dedicated teams, you can help to bring a smile to their faces with a gift this Christmas morning. You can do this by donating to our Christmas fundraising appeal via JustGiving.

“We are so grateful to everyone for their donation – every penny counts and contributes towards enhancing the experience for our patients.”

John Keddie, non-executive director at PAHT, chairs The Princess Alexandra Hospitals’ Charity. He said: “We are extremely grateful for the continued support and generosity from our local community, not just at Christmas time, but throughout the whole year. It means so much to our people and patients – thank you.

“All donations to The Princess Alexandra Hospitals’ Charity are used directly to enhance the experience and wellbeing of our patients. Any funds raised over and above what is spent on Christmas gifts at PAHT will be used to create further smiles for our staff and patients in the New Year.”
