Athletics: Lee takes off at Half Marathon on Debden Airfield

PARKRUNANDBEYOND (PRAB) runner, Lee Wood put in an outstanding performance at the weekend.
Lee came sixth in Remembrance Run Half Marathon at Debden Airfield in a time of 1 hr 16.55.
Lee said: “I was very pleased with this performance. I had a plan to pace at 3.35 km and I kept to that.
This rounds off the year nicely. I am aiming for a marathon in 2021. Training is going well. I get so much support being a member of PRAB.
Several Harlow Running Club also ran. Martin Westley finished in 16th place out of 106 finishers in an excellent 1hr 22min 35sec, Sean Flynn was 74th in 1.50.19 and Colin Moody 79th and 1st Vet 70 in 1.52.16.
In the 10k distance Mick Gleeson finished in 127th place out of 166 finishers in a PB time of 60min 48sec.
Finally in the 5k distance Paul Schroder finished in 53rd place out of 93 finishers in 21.38, Wendy Schroder was 63rd and 2nd Female Vet 50 in 23.53, Susan Maloney 73rd and 3rd Female Vet 50 in 27.54 and Paulene Galoppi 79th and 1st Female Vet 70 in 31.35.
Meanwhile at the Run Through Olympic Park 10k Sarah Walker finished in 311th place out of 345 finishers in 1.05.29 in her debut at the distance.
At the Chase the Moon Olympic Park 10km Daniel Jephcott finished in 20th place out of 279 finishers in a PB time of 36min 08sec, Kelly Burgess was 160th in 50.32 and Sandra Webber 192nd in 54.08(PB).
