Roydon Primary pupils enjoy their first virtual pantomime

ARMED with their popcorn and squash, children enjoyed their first virtual pantomime.
All pupils at Roydon Primary Academy, in Roydon, were able to still enjoy Santa Saves Christmas, despite restrictions preventing visitors or trips.
Enzo Vullo, Reception class teacher, said: “The pantomime is an important part of Christmas. In previous years, the children in my class have enjoyed live performances, however this year this was simply not possible due to the restrictions.
“These restrictions, although challenging, have given us an opportunity to innovate and show that the education sector consistently goes above and beyond to ensure all the children in our care have the best possible educational experience, no matter the obstacles they face.
“The children loved this experience so much, we watched it again the next day!”
Pupils were treated to snacks by the Friends of Roydon School Parent Association.
