A COUNCILLOR for Old Harlow has pleaded with residents to keep themselves safe as the number of infections continue to increase.

YH spoke to the deputy leader of the Harlow Conservatives, cllr Joel Charles at the top of the High Street on Boxing Day afternoon.

A few hours later, the number of infections in the Old Harlow and Newhall area increased to 133.

Cllr Charles asked everyone to play their part over the festive season and beyond.

We also asked him whether the schools in the ward (including Mark Hall Academy, Churchgate Street, Fawbert and Barnard) should re-open?
