Covid-19: Number of deaths at PAH in December rises to 52
News / Sat 26th Dec 2020 at 04:21pm
THE NUMBER of deaths at Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) in Harlow has risen to 287.
That brings a total of 52 deaths for December. The highest monthly toll since April.
We also understand that there has been 20,546 patients tested and 969 are positive.
There are now five Covid wards at the hospital: Charnley, Penn, Henry Moore, Harold and John Snow.

PAH has not directly released information regarding the number of patients who have recovered.
Nor have full details of deaths in care homes and in the community been revealed.
For your guidance, we have been told in the past that Harlow residents make up just over 40% of the client base of Princess Alexandra Hospital.
Our thoughts are with the families of those who have died.

“I would never do anything that would hurt our NHS” (Robert Halfon) 29th December 2020 Dear Robert Halfon MP, I pointed out to you in my recent letter that your vote in favour of the recent Trade Bill 20/07/20 in support of passing this bill unamended. You posted a comment on your Facebook page entitled, “Myth Busting” This post lacked some facts that rendered it misleading you did not mention that by voting in favour of the trade bill unamended. You in fact supported the removal of any kind of scrutiny both for yourself as the MP for the constituency of Harlow and your constituents. Damaging trade deals could now be agreed without the safety of parliamentary or public scrutiny. You failed in your post to mention how this vote would really impact on your constituents your vote has supported the removal the strongest safeguard this constituency could rely on scrutiny. Agreeing instead for damaging trade deals being agreed in secret behind closed doors. I am therefore calling upon you to revaluate the potential damage that may be done to our NHS if this bill passes without the full protection it deserves. The House of Lords has recently voted in favour of the amendments to protect our NHS. I strongly urge you to vote in favour of the amendments when they return to the House of Commons in the New year. I am certain your constituency would mirror my outrage if they found you had given away the opportunity of parliamentary scrutiny with your vote. The public at large and your constituents would only learn of a bad trade deal after it had been agreed.
