Princess Alexandra Hospital boss makes appeal as patient numbers tops 200

News / Thu 31st Dec 2020 at 12:40pm

THE BOSS of Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) has made an appeal to residents to comply with Covid guidelines.

Chief Executive Lance McCarthy made the appeal on social media.

Mr McCarthy said: “Please comply with the tier 4 restrictions and stay at home.

We are under huge pressure at the moment with around 200 covid inpatients.

“My amazing colleagues are working tirelessly to keep services running and give everyone the care they need.”

His appeal comes after reports that between thirteen and sixteen ambulances have been parked up at the hospital.

Below is a film that a reader submitted. They informed us that this shows a large number of ambulances parked up outside the hospital.

Other readers have also contacted us, having also seen the large number of ambulances parked up.

The queues appear to be at their height in the evening.

This makes the appeal by the PAH boss, even more urgent.

While think you need to tell the police that not following the rules like having a party is a emergency and should deal with it straight away. That might help say lives and help nhs.
