Covid 19: Harlow climbs table to eighth in country for infections

News / Sat 2nd Jan 2021 at 05:10pm

HARLOW has risen to its highest position yet in the Covid table.

It now sits in 8th position out of 315 local authorities.

The good news is the recorded number of cases has fallen to 952 or 1093.4 cases per 100,000 but a look at the top five and they are all registering decreases.

Once again, Harlow’s growth is mirrored by Broxbourne.

This continues to confirm that we may be in a for a very difficult January and underline why the authorities have declared that the whole county has to be treated as the scene of a “major incident”.

This may also explain why you see footage at the weekend of 13-16 ambulances parked up at PAH.

Friday: 1130.2 cases per 100,000

Thursday: 1016.5 cases per 100,000

Wednesday: 939.5 cases per 100,000.

Tuesday: 1013.0 cases per 100,000

Monday: 987.7 cases per 100,000.

Sunday’s: 976.3 cases per 100,000.

Remember, these figures relate to December 28th and not today (January 2nd)

This places Harlow in 8th out of 315 local authorities.

There are 78 outstanding test results.
