Harlow teenager pleads guilty to riding in stolen car and drug possession

A HARLOW teenager has pleaded guilty to a number of offences including riding in a stolen car and drug possession.

David Sylvester, aged 18, of Sycamore Field, Harlow pleaded guilty to the following at Chelmsford magistrates court.

On March 31st, 2020 at Pye Corner in Harlow knowing that a mechanically propelled vehicle, VW Touran, had been taken without the consent of the owner or other lawful authority, allowed yourself to be carried in or on the said vehicle, and after the vehicle was unlawfully taken and before it was recovered, damage was caused to the vehicle due to crashing causing the vehicle to be written off. 

On 31/03/2020 Princess Alexandra Hospital, Harlow had in your possession a quantity of cannabis, a controlled drug of class B in contravention of section 5(1) of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971

Sylvester was fined £150.00. He was disqualified for twelve months and has to undertake 120 hours of unpaid community work.

Three other teenagers are also involved in this case but their cases are at different stages in the justice system.
