Harlow man pleads guilty to possessing a taser

A HARLOW man has pleaded guilty to possessing a Taser.

Gordon Shearman, aged 54, of Church End, Harlow pleaded guilty to the following at Chelmsford Magistrates Court.

On 22/03/2020 at Harlow, without the authority of the Secretary of State, had in your possession a weapon designed or adapted for the discharge of a thing, namely a Taser to discharge electricity.

On 22/03/2020 at Harlow in the county of Essex had in your possession a quantity of cannabis, a controlled drug of class B in contravention of section 5(1) of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.

Shearman was fined a total of £863.00

The Taser and drugs were destroyed.
