HARLOW has recorded a drop in its infection rate.
Figures released today show a 3% drop compared to seven days previous.
It is also the fourth day in a row that there has ben a drop in the number of infections.
We will wait to see what the rest of the week brings.
Harlow has registered an infection rate of 1320.8 cases per 100,000.
That is a total of 1150 cases in total. An decrease of 3.0 % on December 31st
Harlow is now sixth out of 315 local authorities in England haunch spent the last few days in third or fourth place.
Remember this refers to January 7th but published on January 12th.
This still continues to confirm that we are in a for a very difficult January and underline why the authorities have declared that the whole county has to be treated as the scene of a “major incident”.
YH understands that there are 177 Covid in-patients, including 18 on ventilators.
There are 137 outstanding test results.
There are now 10 Covid wards at PAH. Lister, Locke, Penn, Harold, Kingsmoor, Charnley, John Snow, Henry Moore and ITU.

The infection rate tells a similar story. Back on September 30th it was 29.9. October 16th: 68.9. November 8th: 118.3. November 22nd it was 206.7. December 2nd it was 221.7.
