VALIANT Verena Pudney is taking on Mount Everest and not moving from her hallway!

The Fullers Mead resident has lived in the area of 41 years and loves to help people.

People in the area recognise her as a former dinner lady, shop assistant and the life and soul of coffee mornings.

For the next month, for ten mins a day, Verena will be stepping her way to the summit – and just to make sure of it….she’s gonna come back down the other side too.
