IT was a simple gesture: To walk a hundred laps outside his home. It was a simple phrase: “Tomorrow, will be a better day”.
But Captain Sir Tom Moore, who has passed away, aged 100, touched so many lives over the past year.
The Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, paid tribute and asked if people would give Captain Tom a round of applause at 6pm on Wednesday night.
People in Harlow duly obliged as well as paying tribute in many other ways.
Nina and her family in Rushes Mead.
Sarah and her family in Lower Meadow.
Waterhouse Moor resident Reka has made some wonderful knitted dolls of NHS workers. She also made this special one of Captain Tom.

Finally, Old Harlow resident Lucy Spencer is making her Captain Toms and donating the money to charity. If you would like one, contact Lucy via us at [email protected]
