Covid-19: Infection rate in Harlow drops by another 40%
News / Mon 8th Feb 2021 at 05:39pm

HARLOW has fallen to its lowest place in the infection table since late November.
Our town is placed 92nd out of 315 local authorities.
That is an infection rate of 244.6 per 100,000. The lowest since December 14th.
This is a drop of 40.0% from seven days ago.
There are now 213 cases in Harlow as of February 3rd but reported today (Feb 8th).
This is the 26th day in a row we have seen a fall.
What should be seen as reassuring for Harlow residents is how relatively consistent the fall is. However today’s fall may be a sign that we must be vigilant.
In the previous seven days, the number of cases in Harlow has declined by: 15, 19, 26, 11, 9, 30, 30, 17, 33 and 37
We think everyone could put up with this boring consistency.
It is the second highest in Essex however, as you can see below, many other areas in Essex and on our border seem to have made much faster progress in the decline of their infection rates.
YH understands that there are 84 Covid in-patients, including 8 on ventilators.
There are 139 outstanding test results.
There are now 10 Covid wards at PAH. Lister, Locke, Penn, Harold, Kingsmoor, Charnley, John Snow, Henry Moore and ITU.
