HARLOW residents can listen to details and ask questions about the Harlow Library refurbishment project in two online meetings this month.

Essex County Council (ECC) will be running two public Zoom sessions later this month to brief residents about the refurbishment of the Harlow Library and the relocation of Adult Community Learning (ACL) into the building, creating a new learning hub for the town.

On 20th December 2020, ECC was awarded £977,000 to fund the ACL /Harlow Library project through The Getting Building Fund.

The project aims to increase footfall to the library and give the residents of Harlow an enhanced library and greater access to adult learning and skills training.

This will be achieved by redeveloping and revitalising the existing library and relocating ACL into the refurbished building.

The meeting will consist of a short presentation detailing the project, timescales and where services will be relocated. Following the presentation there will be an opportunity for those attending to ask questions, comment and make suggestions, which will be managed by the host.

The dates and times for the meeting are as follows:

• Tuesday 23rd February 2021 – 6pm to 7pm

• Friday 26th February 2021 – 4pm to 5pm
