Old Harlow man set to stand trial over “failure to provide a password to protected information”.

A HARLOW man is set to stand trial over an allegation that he failed to provide a password to protected information.
Christopher Golding, aged 39, of Hart Road, Harlow has been charged with the following.
On January 1st, 2021 at Harlow being required to
disclose a key, namely password, to protected information, namely device DS/20201008/06, by a notice issued under Section 49 of the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000, knowingly failed, in accordance with the notice, to make the disclosure required
Contrary to section 53(1) and (5) of the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000.
A trial date of March 24th at Chelmsford Crown Court has been set.
Golding has been remanded in custody.
