ISN’T the sale of Council Houses a policy forced on local councils by Conservative Government policy?
If so then Councils are dammed if they build and dammed if they don’t.
More quality houses to rent and many more truly affordable houses to buy are desperately needed: period. Only 5 % of the land in the country is used for housing and most housing being built are cloned characterless high density units.
New thinking and strategies are surely needed.How about lots more new ultra green towns, I think the idea was tried in 1947 somewhere called Harlow.
