Sports organisations across town return to action across Harlow
Covid-19 / Tue 30th Mar 2021 at 10:36am
IT was great to travel around the town and see so much sport being played in Harlow.
This was being done as Monday March 29th was one of the key stepping stones in the government’s route map out of lockdown.
There was plenty of new balls at the Harlow Lawn Tennis Club at the Latton Bush Centre in Southern Way.
Coaching as well as singles and doubles were being played.
The Mark Hall Sports Centre off London Road had re-opened its track for athletes.
First off was the Harlow Wheelchair Racers. It was great to see Paralympian Richard Chiassario and his team of talented racers out on the track.
Soon after that, the ParkRunandBeyond group took to the track. Around 24 runners took part in a socially distanced 5k (3.1 miles) as a part time-trial/shake off the ring rust exercise.
Body Fresh Fitness re-opened their outdoor gym. The gym is based in Latton Park, the home of Harlow Rugby Club off Howard Way.
The team there have done a remarkable job keeping their members motivated over lockdown.
