Athletics: Lowe hits new high in 10K

HARLOW Running Club members took advantage of the relaxed Covid restrictions by completing various races at the weekend.



The Dorney Lake Marathon, near Windsor, comprises 6 laps of the lake perimeter. Martin Westley finished in 187th place out of 444 finishers in an excellent 3hrs 06min 41sec and Fieke Blackwell, in her debut at the distance, was 246th in 3.20.35.    

Meanwhile at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park 10k Rob Lowe finished in 11th place out of 291 finishers and 1st Vet 50 in a fantastic 34.40, a PB and HRC Vet 50 record by 14sec that has stood since 2014.  

At the St Albans 10k Paul Dixon finished in 243rd place out of 541 finishers in 47.58 and Tarasa Holden was 485th in 62.27, a PB by over 4min.
