A FORMER UKIP councillor has slammed the candidates standing in the local elections as doing nothing more than “ripping off his act”.

Dan Long was the UKIP councillor for Bush Fair between 2014 and 2018.

Mr Long said: “Between those years, I consistently pointed out problems such as potholes, traffic issues, housing, anti-social behaviour and litter.

“The other parties weren’t interested.

But now, day in and day out they are all over the press, telling everyone they meet that they are really concerned.

“Where were they seven years ago? I didn’t see them in Hookfield or Longfield or Great Brays.

“But you watch. Once the elections are over, they will be back ignoring what is important to the people of Harlow.

“The Labour administration are the worst offenders.

“I simply think the residents are being sold short”

Below is are two interviews with Mr Long from 2015 and 2016.
