HARLOW residents who had been told that they would not require an appointment to get a Cocid-19 vaccine are being turned away from both vaccination centres in the town.
YH readers had read the press release issued by the health bosses on Friday that stated:
“Covid vaccinations now available with no appointment needed for eligible people in Hertfordshire and west Essex
“In order to make it even easier for eligible people to get protected against COVID-19, a number of walk-in vaccination sessions have opened up for people across Hertfordshire and west Essex. This means you don’t need to make an appointment.”
However, when people turned up to both Lister House Surgery on Abercrombie Way and the Harlow Leisurezone on Second Avenue they were told that this was not case and duly turned away.
YH went to both centres on Sunday morning and spoke to front of door staff, who confirmed that there were no walk in appointments available.
YH has contacted both West Essex and Herts CCG but have yet to receive a reply.
