Harlow man charged with failing to stop after car crashes into house in Sheering

A HARLOW man has been charged with several road traffic offences.

Zafer Vatansever, aged 20, of Great Brays, Harlow has been charged with the following.

On December 13th, 2020 at Sheering drove a Mercedes C250 on The Street, Sheering without due care and attention.

On December 13th, 2020 at Sheering drove a Mercedes C250 without due care and attention in that you were travelling too fast for the conditions, braked whilst negotiating a nearside bend thus losing control of the vehicle and leaving the carriageway to the offside causing serious property damage to Gladwyns, The Street, Sheering including two vehicles parked on the driveway at the location and the force of such impact has pushed one of the parked vehicles into an outbuilding (garage) causing serious structural damage to the building requiring it to be demolished.

On December 13th,, 2020 at Sheering used a Mercedes C250 on a road (The Street), when there was not in force in relation to that use such a policy of insurance or such a security in respect of third party risks as complied with the requirements of Part VI of the Road Traffic Act 1988.

On December 13th, 2020 at Sheering being the driver of a Mercedes C250 owing to the presence of which on a road, namely The Street an accident occurred whereby damage was caused to property forming part of the land on which the road was situated or land adjacent to it, namely Gladwyns, The Street, Sheering, Essex, failed to stop.

On December 13th, 2020 at Sheering being the driver of a Mercedes C250 owing to the presence of which on a road or other public place, namely The Street, an accident occurred whereby damage was caused to property forming part of the land on which the road was situated or land adjacent thereto, namely Gladwyns, The Street, Sheering, Essex, and not having given your name and address to a person having reasonable grounds for requiring you to do so, failed to report the accident at a police station or to a constable as soon as was reasonably practicable, and in any case within twenty-four hours of the occurrence of the accident.

Vatansever has been remanded on unconditional bail until August 25th, 2021 at Colchester magistrates court.
